Haven't played here myself but I'd be willing to try it out. Especially since there's no leveling and it doesn't use Sinfar's ruleset ;^)

I would most assuredly enjoy getting out of the sandbox and playing something where my actions have consequences. It's not that I hate what I have. But I'd much rather feel progress. See my actions causing things to happen. Build a castle that isn't simply washed away when the tide rolls in. I'd definitely check this out if it becomes a thing.

I am in the same boat with shyaga here as l don't know anything about Isle of Styss, so l can't really say anything really. Though I do hold a lot of questions for it. And judging from those answers will sway me into helping it, though l am interested in this and would play on the server yes. ^_^
As for my questions, though this doesn't have to be answered right away:
1: Is there going to be Faction's for people to join and if so are they going to be player run, and will players be able to make their own? 2: Will the server host a sub-race for players to play, or give the ability to RP as a race not able to be picked when they crate a character? 3: Is the server going to allow the players to craft a look for their character after they crate it? 4: Though this is only a guess, but shall the server have a language script for races people will play when they come to the server? 5: What sort of lore will the server have, or will it allow players to bring in more lore to the server and let it expand and grow if it does? 6: Will the team allow new areas to be put in by players if it meets the right criteria and lore of the server? More may be added at a later time.
If you wish for me to explain more on one or more of this questions I'll do so. ^_^

I don't have a lot of time at the moment since I am looking for work and trying to start a new life in a different country, buuuut I'd be more than happy to help with some building if you need a hand. Just, sadly, cannot commit as a full time builder.

The cities will be set in stone - players will not be making additional cities unless there is some crazy unsettling number of people who join. Cities however -will- be run by players, at least that's how it was in IoS. People would be elected by their peers to run the city for 30 day spans IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY. Beyond that there are of course, sub-groups within those cities: So yes, you can make a faction within a city, and run that, but you will be of course under others in the city unless you are leader! Consequences and what not. 2. You can play a pretty much any race that exists in the realms and constructs of dnd as a whole, so long as it makes sense, and within reason. I say "within dnd" to provide a scope, and to make note that I will be scraping off "futuristic" "modern" ect. from thetable. I don't want to see star wars on the server, or self-avatars of modern people. This is after all, not -all- sandbox but rp driven as well. 3. Yes, absolutely. Everything sinfar has, we will have. We are working with mavrixio. 4. More than likely, yes, we will allow people to speak languages and the widgets will auto-translate if we can find those scripts to implement. 5. The server will have a setting and lore. It will be broad and wide, and allow for a lot of freedom, but not complete sandbox freedom like sinfar has I'm afraid. This is good for rp however - in a sandbox with no setting, it's hard to become inspired. A setting inspires rp, or it should if it is done right - the trade off however is that things in that setting, need to exist - and make sense in that setting. Lore will be discussed once we know of player intent (if people will be playing or not. At the time of this writing, 20 have signed up, and that's astounding. It hasn't even been 12 hours!). I can say whole-heartedly the lore I have thought up is -very- cool, and the people I've discussed it with so far have thought so as well, but we'll see! Everything is able to be changed at this point. I don't want to fruitlessly cling to something -I- personally want, if the community desires something else. That'd make me a bad dev. 6. This is something we can explore, sure, but as of right now our goal would be to get a set group of areas out to get the server running - first and foremost. We will be making a design document, and once it is made: it is law. Not me, not kitten, not anyone - the document is. Past that if we decide there is a need for an area of a sort, and someone makes a great one, I don't see why not? I hope that answers your questions!

Definitely in, and without question - even if the ability to or not to port characters (due to fitting or not fitting lore) might make me a little mournful; for a Styss X.0 it's definitely worth it.
I would ask if any system for Player Housing is going to be integrated again, though; even if it's done in a manner that doesn't promote using them as inns/businesses/etc. Perhaps having it in a separate area, or whatnot; because the ability to customize an area, independently, for your own occasional RP or events was one thing I did enjoy a lot about Sinfar.
Still, this definitely has my very, very keen interest; and I'd be happy to help with any small-scale NWScript work that needs to be done for simpler things, just to take some workload.

To inform others that this person has a bounty on their head a a last known location to give a Character, and allow them to check a message board like thing to see who has a bounty on them how much its worth and what not. And the more the characters they kill the bigger the reward for it. Which can range from gold, to a some sort of item or something. 3: will the server host a crafting system to let players craft their own armor, weapons, items, over all equipment as they will need to head out to forage for crafting materials?

Thank you: Cat in a Hat 1. We will build dungeons, but I don't know about letting random players build dungeons. It's asking for trouble imho. 2. Bounties is something players should do ICly between each other, we don't really need a system for it I think? 3. Items will drop completed. I don't know if there will be any crafting, or if so, how it will be done. Completed and built items that are set in stone allows the staff to better balance items between characters and classes.

Thanks. Though a lot of people do like to craft things, so I can only hope a crafting system will be put in. But thanks.. Also, having a player ran shop wouldn't be to bad. Like how Arelith did it almost. Nothing grand or fancy, just a little stall people can go to and see what people are putting up for sale they have found but don't want/need. And I'll shut up now as I'm sure I'm being a little pestering. XD

Sounds good, hopefully player attempts to start new tavers or inns arent aproaved to fast. I always have to wonder when I hear of new opened clubs on Sinfar, why people do that with already so many clubs died out deserted in the past. Perhaps they hope that players come to them and bring them rp instead of having to travel around and search it themself. Sometimes i think what Sinfar needs would be a cataclysm..a meteor blast or a tsunami..wiping out everything and start the places from the scratch with a small lumber camp in the center of a wasteland. Of course it wont happen cause to many builders spended to much time to build it all up As for the inns and taverns... I don't know what the plans are for that, at least not at this time. There will only be one per city to start with... we will see from there. Personally I hope that some of my area get taken over. It means that they are lived and RPed in. If that means I have to turn a forest into a wasteland of dead trees... by all means. So long as there is enough RP behind it I'm ok with it. Kinda like how I took all the silver ware out of the inn I built simply because a band of halflings ran though and RPed taking it all. If I see it or know about it.... I will change it. Someone's been camping in an area for a few weeks and I catch them doing so, a camp ground may appear there. That's how it should be. The areas aren't for my amusement, they are meant to be enjoyed and shaped by the players. That is what ever builder should build towards in my opinion.

Well I think having some sort of forge, or crafting system would be nice. Even if its a job put into the server, like a black smith that works in weapons or armor. Like black smith, tailor, magical items like scrolls and wands and things like that. Making the player seek out these characters to generate RP for them to craft these items. And what l mean by allowing players to make a dungeon is. Speak to them, hear out their idea's and give them a test of what they can come up with, and if good, even help them build it. But it would be a choice of the Team whether or not it will be put in and or if it would fit within reason of the server. As for Player run shops. Set it for them to place a item in the store and let them set a price to fit how the item is wanted. Though l am sure this may not happen. But it will help build a character's job as a owner and operator.As for Sub-races it would be nice to have one that fits the type one may play. To give them the bonus and de-buff to their character. Like Beasts, Dragons, Demons, Devils, and a few others.
Beast: Picking between a small list of a few like a druid style one, give them pro's and con's to each different one. Dragon: Let them pick between a color, and give them the immunity to their element but variability, like White is for cold, but is harmed a great deal by fire as Red is the other way around. And give them a slight boost to stats, and drop a different stat to fit them. and the right breath weapon to match it even if it's weak, or base it off a character lvl to a point. Devil: Allow banish to mess with them as a de-buff to them or something. Bless harm more as divine damg as well. Demon: This may be hard as l don't know much about Devil sub-race.
But you see what l mean. I can go in more detail about sub-races and more pro's and con's to them. but it will make people feel better for a character, and since this isn't going to be a Sandbox l feel this would be a great thing to add in to the server. Since a dragon should the right marks of one, or a demon being able to do things others can't and give better depth to a character IC. And give them the language for it. Even if it is a Wiget that comes up in a text in the combat log. Areltih has a great one and if need be l think there are a few who may know where to find one. *nods.*
