By 'unofficial' I meant that perhaps it might be easier for everyone if people just choose who they want to follow at any given time rather than having a permanent leader at all. This may of course breed clans or sub-factions within any of the cities, but hey, it all makes for more interesting RP and saves everyone the stress of having to worry about a popularity contest vote that's bound to end up in headache one way or another. It all comes back to the theme you've posted: Planar Prison. I LOVE this idea.. But it seems rather silly that a prison would support any form of monarchy system.. It's a prison for crying out loud.. Let anarchy rule! Ok ok, yeah that was actually what I meant when I said I would just let the players hash it all out, unless things simply weren't working. Who knows? Maybe one player eventually gets strong enough to -make- it a monarchy? Maybe not? Backstabbing and betrayal are fair play. I just worry that everyone will want to be leader and nobody will want to follow, but I suppose we will see!

Well being a leader requires some skill from the player either not only an ic leading ability of the char. I mean a char could have high charisma which would make him/her a good leader, but if the player lacks the ability to unite chars under his charĀ“s command it doesnt really matter. Wanting to be a leader and actually being a leader are two different pair of shoes so to say. I for example cant imagine to ever lead anyone not irl and not icly with a char of mine.
And even if its a prison, the gods or who ever created it, could simply make it impossible to leave it not even at death so they dont have to care what happens inside. I never was in prison myself but..in ever movie i saw a prison from the inside, there forms some kind of hierarchy even with the prison guards to mostly have the last word. Now imagine a prison without guards. Somebody strong will take the rule over the weak to have a better existence in its exile.
Another question might be if there is nay need for a leader or if anything forces the population of the prison to create a leader. Are the gods still present to guard the key to that throneroom till a leader is found or is that key thrown into the crowd like a piece of meat into cage of beasts to fight for?

Hello, I'm maybe in the wrong section, I did play on your server few moths ago without password, how can I come back ? Umm... I hate to be the one to break it to you but you probably didn't play on IoP since we've always had a password, and we've only allowed a hand full of testers who have played on Sinfar to test the areas. The Server itself is only a few months old as well.
